What actually gets smaller
Most PDF bloat comes from oversized embedded images and redundant data. Compression downsamples those images and strips the redundancy, so a scanned or image-heavy PDF can shrink dramatically while a text-only file — already small — changes little. Text stays crisp because we don't rasterize it.
Hitting a required size (100KB, 200KB…)
Upload forms and portals often cap PDFs at a fixed size. Enter a target in KB and we compress toward it, keeping the best readable quality that still fits. Exact sizes are not guaranteed for very image-heavy files, we always show the true final size, and the output is never larger than the input.
Where it runs
Processing happens on our servers and the result is a standard PDF that opens in any reader. Nothing is installed, and the file is removed automatically after you download it.
