Convert Image on Mac
Preview can technically export formats — through a menu maze that hides WebP and confuses HEIC. The browser route is one screen: upload, pick the format, download. No installs, any Mac.

Where Preview falls short
Preview's Export dialog buries format options (hold Option for the full list — really), lacks WebP entirely, and handles batch jobs clumsily. For quick everyday conversions the browser tool is simply less friction.
The Mac conversion set
HEIC from iPhones to JPG for compatibility, WebP downloads to PNG for editing, screenshots to whatever a form wants — the everyday Mac conversions, one tab. Files are processed temporarily and deleted automatically — there is no general cloud storage.
- One-screen conversion
- WebP support Preview lacks
- HEIC handled natively
- No installs on macOS
- Free with fair daily limits
