Compress to the size a form demands

Government portals, job applications and exam sites cap photo uploads at exact sizes — 20KB, 50KB, 100KB. Enter that number as your target and we compress toward it at the best quality that fits. We show the real final size, and the output is never larger than your original.

How image compression works

JPG compression removes visual detail your eye barely notices; the more you compress, the more it shows. PNG compression is lossless but shrinks less. For big photo savings, JPG output at a sensible quality is usually the answer.

Compress vs. resize

Compression keeps the pixel dimensions and reduces the file size; resizing changes the dimensions themselves (e.g. to 600×600). Forms that specify pixels need Resize Image; forms that specify KB need this tool. Files are processed temporarily and deleted automatically — there is no general cloud storage.
