PNG to BMP

The modern screenshot meets the ancient requirement: converting PNG to BMP feeds graphics into legacy Windows tools, embedded displays and industrial systems that predate PNG itself. Free with fair daily limits.

The transparency question

BMP has no practical transparency — PNG alpha flattens onto a background (white by default) in conversion. Graphics designed on transparency deserve a check that the flattened result reads correctly.

Pixel-exact otherwise

Both formats store pixels exactly, so the conversion is lossless in content — the screenshot's text stays crisp, the graphic's edges stay sharp, and the file gets much larger, as BMP does.
