Accents are not decoration
French meaning lives in its diacritics: a missed accent changes the word (ou/où, a/à, sur/sûr). The French model recognizes accented characters as first-class letters and applies French vocabulary context — so the output is French, not approximately-French.
From actes to archives
Administrative documents (actes, attestations), contracts, academic papers, books and family records — printed French digitizes cleanly; older documents with worn type still deserve a proofread of names and dates.
