Blocks built from letters
Hangul is unique: individual letters (jamo) compose into square syllable blocks — 학 is ㅎ+ㅏ+ㄱ stacked into one glyph. Recognition must decompose each block correctly; the Korean model does exactly that, block by block.
Korean paperwork, digitized
Business contracts and correspondence, government documents, academic material and books — plus the occasional hanja (Chinese characters) still used in formal documents, which the Korean setting also expects.
