Twitter Header Size

The X (Twitter) header is 1500×500 — a wide 3:1 strip that regular photos do not fit and that your circular avatar overlaps at the bottom-left. Resize for the real spec, free.

Works anywhere

Runs in your browser on any device, anywhere in the world.

The 3:1 banner problem

At three times wider than tall, ordinary photos need deliberate framing to survive as a header. Resizing to 1500×500 first lets you choose the slice — instead of X choosing it for you.

Design around the overlap

Your avatar covers part of the header's lower-left, and different devices crop the edges slightly differently. Keep text and key content centred and clear of the bottom-left corner.

Keep it sharp

Start from an image at least 1500px wide; upscaled small images blur visibly at header size. Files are processed temporarily and deleted automatically — there is no general cloud storage.

  • Exact 1500×500 output
  • Avatar-overlap aware framing
  • No random platform cropping
  • Free with fair daily limits
  • JPG and PNG supported
